“ If you're a frequent diner like me, someone who's tasted it all and often finds most meals to be underwhelming, then you absolutely have to try this hidden gem. From the moment I walked into this Middle Eastern restaurant, I was hit with the familiar scents and warmth that transported me straight back to the middle east—back to my family's table in Egypt, surrounded by love and laughter. The grilled meats here are nothing short of perfection. Each bite was bursting with flavors that instantly reminded me of the meals I grew up with—tender, smoky, and seasoned to absolute perfection. The kebabs and shawarma were so flavorful that they made me smile from ear to ear, something that's rare for someone like me who's always out eating and tasting. It's the kind of food that stirs your soul and fills you with pure happiness, a taste of home in every bite. The Palestinian dishes were equally impressive and each dish was a reminder of the deep-rooted traditions and passion that went into preparing them. You can tell the chefs here take immense pride in their craft, using only the finest ingredients and honoring the authentic flavors of the Middle East. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm, family-like hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was impeccable. Every part of the experience was crafted to make me feel at home. This restaurant isn’t just about food—it’s about rekindling memories, evoking emotions, and offering an experience that goes beyond the plate. If you're looking for authentic Middle Eastern flavors that will touch your heart, this place will do just that. It's a true treasure, and I can't wait to return. ”
“ Ordered the kufta plate with fries and it was very good! Restaurant has nice seating areas with Palestinian theme. I enjoyed the fresh baked bread which was very tasty and filling. I recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for middle eastern grill ”
“ What an incredible treat! My buddy and I came to Al Bawadi on a Saturday night for our first “1st Night of Ramadan” meal — what an experience! Every single item was cooked to perfection — the kefta was as good as any I’ve had, the baba ganoush was out of this world, even the rice hit different — but the vibes... were best in class. Thank you to the whole Al Bawadi staff for sacrificing your first night of Ramadan to make everyone else’s so wonderful. Cheers to an exceptional restaurant with exceptional food — and even more exceptional people! ”

“ Fantastic food!! Drove all the way down from Milwaukee and had no regrets. Definitely would come again. The food was very well seasoned, spices were great, the meat was juicy and tender. Highly recommend the mixed appetizer platter and the mixed grilled platter if you like a good variety. ”
“ I had a lamb dish my spouse had a seafood plate. The pita was hot taste, per my spouse. We had not been there in a long time , it appreciated the new look , how they were able to split table and make you feel as though the space you were in was just your. Excellent way to celebrate the holiday. ”
“ Very solid. Never had a sub par experience. Usual go to is the chicken toshka and the mixed grill. Get a bit of everything. It’s a beautiful Palestinian style environment. I always recommend this to people who are trying Arabic food for the first time or come from out of town. ”
“ Interested in authentic Palestinian cuisine....Al Bawadi is the place! We went to the ones in Niles but I prefer this location because it has a more cultural vibe to it. Food was outstanding. The mint lemonade is a must. We did breakfast (yes, I can do breakfast food all day lol) The arayes was flavorful, the bread was fresh , melts in your mouth and was great with the humus with meat (next level hummus)! Come and give it a try if you want to experience something cultural or in the mood for middle eastern food and you can't forget the kunafa - worth all the calories!! ”
